Canyoning
Scotland adventure
The Big Picture
Canyoning or gorge scrambing as it is also known, is an activity for those of you looking for adrenalin thrills and spills. The canyoning activity follows the course of a river through gorges and waterfalls with much of the time spent in the water leaping in and out of rock pools and down water chutes.
To enjoy the activity, we recommend a basic level of fitness.
How it Works
After being kitted out in wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets, we head off to the start point in the canyon for a session of rock pool jumping, slab sliding and boulder scrambling during a 2 hour session in the wilderness. The instructors guide through the canyoning pointing out where to scramble, where to slide and the best places to leap!! Depending upon the canyon you may use different specialised kit such as harnesses and ropes which is overseen by the instructors.
We use a number of different canyons depending on weather conditions.
We select the appropriate canyon to best suit your requirements and location.
